120th Anniversary Building Renovation, The Customs Department

Where Heritage Architecture Meets Contemporary Design

Products: Lamiglas laminated glass, Picxelglas printed glass, U-White glass

The renovation of the Customs Department’s 120th Anniversary Building reflects a blend of traditional architectural value and present-day functionality. Glass was selected as one of the key elements, enhancing both the aesthetics and the spatial design of the building.

For the curtain wall, skylight and interior walls, Lamiglas laminated glass from TYK Glass was used to create continuity between the exterior and interior glazing, giving the building a modern image while preserving the elegance of this historic site.

Inside, Picxelglas printed glass with a white-to-yellow gradation adds depth to the space and makes the interior decoration stand out, while U-White glass brightens the interior and creates a clean, fresh atmosphere.

The use of a variety of glass types throughout the project harmoniously connects the identity of a historic building with a contemporary design language, with refined details in every area of the project.
